It’s tough truth Thursday everybody, so buckle up.

Too often I’ve heard it said from people who perceived themselves as “broken and in need of fixing,” that their healing is dependent on others being there for them.

Here’s the thing; your healing is entirely up to you. There may be people there to help you stand back up when you fall, but their job isn’t to hold you up the whole way. They can stand beside you while you work on yourself, but they can’t do it for you.

You’re in control of your present and how you perceive events that happen/have happened to you. Self-esteem is exactly that, it’s esteem generated by self.

Don’t underestimate the power that you’ve had all along and still do. Now lift up that broken leg and hop along to your betterment like a boss.
